Garret Savluk - Trumpet - Vocals / Boston Horns

Based out of the Boston area, Garret established his reputation  with the Heavy Metal Horns; the 1990’s Funk - Horn band and Horn section. Heavy Metal Horns Released 4 full length cd's featuring Garret's compositions and did multiple tours of the United States.Garret also toured across the North-East with legendary Horn / Soul band, Tower of Power. HMH gained international recognition performing on Extreme’s “Stop the World” world tour in 1993 in which Garret was a featured performer on a 'rap' section of the show.  

Currently, Garret is the Leader of the 7-piece funk jazz group The Boston Horns.  Boston Horns have been performing all over the Northeast and beyond since 2000. They have released six recordings with a few becoming so popular in Japan, the band toured there in 2006.

Garret has penned many songs and arrangements for Heavy Metal Horns /  Boston Horns and  has also done arranging work for Grammy award winner – Shawn Mullins ("Beneath the velvet sun”).

Lastly, Garret also does plenty of freelance work around town and beyond including recording for artists overseas via the internet. He  continues to private teach Trumpet / Brass / Jazz students  in public  School systems in the area and in private settings.
